Enter Common Sound Studio through the french doors. A Mac Pro-based, MOTU Digital Performer 5.11 DAW is the brains of the studio, with a Yamaha 02R routing audio signals from the real world to the virtual. Vintage keys like a 1974 MiniMoog and Rhodes 54 get mixed in with modern synths like the Novation SuperNova, Korg ER-1 & ES-1, Roland JV-1080.

The studio monitors through Genelec 1028s and a Tannoy subwoofer and Sennheiser HD280 headphones. Virtual synths include the Korg Analog Edition (with MS-20 controller), Waldorf Edition, Native Instruments Kontakt & B4, & Reason. MIDI is controlled by (2) Sequentix P3 analog sequencers, Kenton Pro Solo Mk II, and MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV. Other synths in the studio are Roland JD-800, Emu Morpheus, & Novation Nova. Effects include Universal UAD-1 plug-ins, Lexicon PCM 70, Lexicon Jamman, & MXR Phase 100. Guitars include Parker NiteFLy, Epiphone Chet Atkins Classical Electric, Yamaha APX acoustic, and Fender Jazz bass.

Another corner contains more vintage and modern keyboards and drum machines, including a 1974 Yamaha CS-50, 1981 Roland Juno-6, 1974 Roland SH-3a, Kurzweil SP76, Roland CR-5000, & Kurzweil K2000 v3. The Yamaha 03D digitally cascades signals to the 02R.
